Deckard exists to expand the capacity of cultural institutions to think, tell stories, and engage with others in the digital environment.
We approach our work from a curatorial perspective, not just an administrative one: we shape the vision, organize the project’s structure, and assemble the right team to make it happen.

We decide on the criteria before choosing the tool.
We give shape to the intangible.
Technology only makes sense when it serves the story.
Form and content are inseparable.
We pull the thread to unexpected ends.
We are the sum of all layers.

Sònia López founded Deckard in 2022, after more than twenty years working in the field of digital culture within the very institutions she now supports.
Trained as an art historian, she entered the world of digital media at a time when this intersection didn’t yet have a name. For thirteen years, she served as Head of Digital Media at MACBA, where she oversaw the digital strategy, revamped the website three times, and launched projects that anticipated conversations the sector continues to have today: Ràdio Web MACBA, a pioneer in cultural podcasting in Europe and an award winner at Museums & the Web; Itineraries, a shared curatorial platform; and Portable Notebooks, a series of digital publications featuring authors such as Timothy J. Clark and Suely Rolnik.
He then joined the Digital Media team at the Museo Reina Sofía, where he contributed to “Rethinking Guernica,” winner of the 2018 Webby Award. Later, he led operations at Second Canvas, working with more than 75 cultural institutions in Europe, the United States, and Latin America.
She teaches in several master's and specialized graduate programs in digital culture and has presented her work at international conferences such as Museums & the Web, MuseumNext, and Tate Britain.

At Deckard, we don't work with fixed teams. We work with the right teams.
We select each team member based on the unique needs of each project: developers, designers, screenwriters, video editors, photographers, sound specialists, creative programmers, and content strategists. These are very different profiles, but they share a common understanding: that in cultural projects, form and content cannot be separated.
With over twenty-five years of experience in the industry, we can quickly identify that profile—and tailor it differently each time.
Editorial design of the Stories section of the website and production of the podcast series "Retorn al passat" and "Glossari".
Design and production of the sound fiction podcasts "En serie" and the sound essay for the exhibition "Costa Brava", among others.
Management of the renovation of its website and its project "Más Museo Picasso", maintenance of web content and the design of its evolution.
