Imagine listening to what the works of the Museu de l'Empordà suggest to your ears.
The podcast En sèrie. Una col-lecció de relats is a spin off of the literary project of the same name, an initiative of the Museu de l'Empordà whose purpose is to offer a new vision and reading of the works of the museum.
In 2022, the museum invited writers from the Alt Empordà to create a collective story with two premises: to continue the narrative where the previous story ended and to mention one of the 3,000 works in the museum's collection. Thus was born the first season of the project, entitled "La rebel-lió dels dandis".
Our challenge was to transform this literary record into an audio format.
We opted for audio fiction instead of audiobooks to intensify the drama and audience involvement. With short and varied episodes, this proposal is an innovation in the traditional museum narrative.
The project's sound design and approach seek to be faithful to the singularity of the story: a collective creation with diverse twists and narrators.
For this reason, we wanted to give it a heterogeneous and contemporary sonority, at times literal and narrative, and at times abstract and musical.
