The new IVAM Online Collection is not just a technical improvement. It is a commitment to making a very valuable collection public, structuring knowledge and activating research through a powerful search engine.
A project of this technological scope reaches its true potential when it is built from a dialogue between disciplines and languages.
From Deckard and in strategic alliance with Gnoss, we have played the role of project manager. We have worked closely with the museum and Gnoss teams, responsible for the technological development. Our role has been key to translate museum needs into functional requirements, guarantee the coherence of the digital story and detect -from the inside- risks and opportunities that can only be perceived with knowledge of the cultural sector.
For us, leading this type of process means:
+ Accompany with empathy and rigor.
+ Ensure that technology is at the service of content, not the other way around.
+ Place digital curation as a transversal and essential layer.
The result is a new platform that organizes, connects and gives visibility to all of IVAM's digital assets: from the catalog of works to the library, including programming and editorial resources.
A tool that not only informs, but also helps to think better about the digital museum.
